I’ve always loved hosting parties… I enjoy every minute of a house full of people mingling and look forward to the opportunity to celebrate a special event. I even used to love spending hours scanning Pinterest for the perfect decor inspiration, new appetizer recipes, and amazing gifts but let’s be honest as a working mom with two kids, I just don’t have that kind of time anymore.
I remember the day I first thought… What if stylish party décor and party supplies for my next party could show up neatly packaged and ready for setup so I didn’t have to run all around town trying to gather supplies? Seriously… think about what you could do with that time? Personally, I’d prefer to go out to brunch with girlfriends on a Saturday morning or spend a few extra minutes with my kiddos because it’s rare we have a day without a to-do list a mile long.
The day the idea of SPRINKLES AND CONFETTI originated is still crystal clear in my mind. As a busy mom of two toddlers, I was stressing about planning the next upcoming birthday party and my lovely co-worker, a much younger newly married version of myself, was venting about how difficult it was to host 4 different bridal showers and bachelorette parties for the same group of friends over one summer. In that conversation about picking the right color palette, making each party feel special, and keeping ourselves sane while running all over town looking for the perfect combination of items we instantly realized how many more host(esses) out there must be just like us… with busy schedules, limited budgets, and crazy high expectations to throw a party just right for each upcoming event… I had to do something to make planning a party fun and joyful again!
Ever since that day, I’ve been determined to share my passion for parties while finding a way to make it easier to host! I look forward to turning that passion into a business in 2017.
