5 Easter Crafts with Items you have at home

EASY EASTER CRAFTS WITH HOUSEHOLD ITEMS 

As we move past the first few weeks of homeschooling and social distancing, we've realized our time at home will be longer than initially expected and Easter season will look a bit different this year than years in the past. 

With low budget in mind, I took to the Pinterest boards to round up easy DIY crafts to keep the kids entertained and embrace the Easter season during our time at home! 

NO SEW SOCK BUNNY 

No Sew Sock Bunny

This idea is rather cute and is easy for for all!   Find a pair of old socks you can spare and use these helpful instructions form Feeling Nifty to complete your no sew sock bunny!

Materials you need:

  • Unmatched socks
  • Uncooked rice (around 1 cup per bunny)
  • Rubber bands
  • Black marker
  • Pretty Ribbon (Optional)
  • Scissors

 EASTER CHICK FORK PAINTING 

Chick For Painting | Easy at home Easter Craft

Easy enough for any age!  This craft doesn't take much time and adds a touch of spring to the art board! Find the full set of instructions from Mas & Pas here!

Materials you need:

  • A plastic fork
  • Yellow paint 
  • Googly Eyes (easily replaceable with a black marker)
  • A small piece of orange felt or paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue 
  • Black Pen/Marker

Dig out the craft box and try to find a few pipe cleaner.  Get creative with materials you have around the house to make this one.  No puff balls, that's okay cotton balls work too.  For detailed instructions pop on over to The Best Ideas for Kids blog post here!

  • Construction paper 
  • Pom Poms (or cotton balls)
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Googly Eyes or markers to draw eyes 
  • Small Paper Plates 
  • Strong Glue

The options are endless here and my pinterest search resulted in so many good ideas, I think the key here is to get creative with the materials you have at home!  Here's a few of my favorites:

 Qtip Spring Flower Arts and Crafts you can do at home

Round up a few Qtips and get creative with your flower creations, The Pinterest Parent provided the above inspiration here but there's lots of options. 

Color the qtips with markers or paint for extra variation! 

 

Easy Paper Craft Flowers

The instructions for these beautiful paper flowers can be found here from Easy, Peasy, Fun  but if you have some construction paper, scissors, and glue and tape you can make this work and create some beautiful spring blooms! 

TOILET PAPER ROLL STAMPS 

If you have paint at home, save your toilet paper rolls and create yourself a stamp in various shapes to make yourself an Easter art project!
